Head Kahuna Korner ------------------ Mike Hall My column has been absent the past several months while I've been busy with work and travel. I took two international trips, one to Belgium/Germany and one to Scotland/Ireland. I know, rough life. First of all, a big Los Alamos THANK YOU to Sandy James who is leaving the editorship after two and a half years in the position. During that time she mailed out 26 issues of the newsletter, topping the previous record of 25 held by yours truly. I hope that she'll be available for guest editing in the future, should our editor-in-waiting, Bryan Bennett, need a helping hand. Next, congratulations to all of our new officers! I somehow managed to get elected president again, even though I left the country to avoid the election. I think the club has elected a good slate of people -- we'll do our best to run the club into the ground and abscond with the treasury, the library, and whatever beer we can grab. The Beer Judge Certification Program exam keeps getting moved further and further away. I think we started out setting a date in September. The last date, I've heard was sometime in January, but that's not certain yet. I think that the difficulty has to do with Brad Kraus being really busy with the start-up of a new brewpub, Wolf Canyon in SF. By the way, I've been there and Brad's beers are great, like always. Is anybody interested in doing a review? The December meeting is our standard Christmas party, and our January meeting will be a free-for-all hedonic judging. That's where you bring your favorite homebrewed beverages, without regard to styles, and we judge them according to how much we like them. We're looking for someone to run this judging, so if you're interested, let us know. That's about all for this month. Look for articles in later issues of the Suds Times for ramblings on my recent sojourns. See you at the Yuletide bash...
