PRESIDENT'S WORDS

Greetings fellow Homebrewers

The Club voted to host a "Brew Bayou Beach Bash" last meeting and that is the current major topic. The event is going to be at Quintana County Park on March 27. It will be a Keg Contest and is coinciding with a Chili Cook-off sponsored by Quintana Village. Adalia created a flyer and inadvertently changed the name to a Beach Blast which Bill and I both liked better. The flyer in both Word and PDF formats was sent to the area homebrew clubs, it also can be seen on our web site. We will discuss the details at the Feb. meeting, like what all do we need and who will do what. One detail is what will we used for a "horse trough" to put the ice and Kegs in.

This month's program will be given by Jeff and Bill S. The style is Dusseldorf Alt and Shane will give the presentation.

See you there and think about the Brew Bayou Beach Blast.

Valroy

Next meeting Feb 25th 7:00 PM at Talk about Good.

Our second competition received 329 entries from 103 brewers representing 16 states. The Cass River Homebrewers Club of Mid-Michigan is proud to again organize and conduct the annual competition. In keeping with the theme of the World Expo of Beer©, Homebrew at the W.E.B is open to Homebrewers from anywhere within the United States, Canada or abroad and we are accepting entrees in BJCP categories 1 through 28. We will accept entries from January 18 until February 7. You can find more detailed competition information at . Our list of drop off locations is growing, and we should have our online registration information up on the site shortly.www.crhbc.com/competition.php

The third annual competition will be held On February 20 and 21 with the Best of Show and Organizers' Choice announced at the World Expo of Beer© in May, 2010 and we are thrilled to announce that the beer selected as Best of Show will again be brewed by and served on tap at the renowned Sullivan's Black Forest Brew Haus of Frankenmuth, Michigan!
