Bluebonnet Brew-off Event Tentative Schedule
W.E.B. Homebrewing competition
The inaugural Homebrew at the W.E.B. Homebrewing competition was held in 2008 with 223 entries from 78 brewers representing 11 states. Our second competition received 329 entries from 103 brewers representing 16 states. The Cass River Homebrewers Club of Mid-Michigan is proud to again organize and conduct the annual competition. We’re growing really fast, and we’re excited about this year’s competition. This is a Beer Judging Certification Program (BJCP) sanctioned event. In keeping with the theme of the World Expo of Beer©, Homebrew at the W.E.B is open to Homebrewers from anywhere within the United States, Canada or abroad and we are accepting entrees in BJCP categories 1 through 28. We will accept entries from January 18 until February 7. You can find more detailed competition information at . Our list of drop off locations is growing, and we should have our online registration information up on the site shortly.www.crhbc.com/competition.php The third annual competition will be held On February 20 and 21 with the Best of Show and Organizers' Choice announced at the World Expo of Beer© in May, 2010 and we are thrilled to announce that the beer selected as Best of Show will again be brewed by and served on tap at the renowned Sullivan's Black Forest Brew Haus of Frankenmuth, Michigan!

VERY INSPIRING!
As we get older we sometimes begin to doubt our ability to "make a difference" in the world. It is at these times that our hopes are boosted by the remarkable achievements of "seniors" who have found the courage to take on challenges that would make many of us wither. Harold Sclumberg is such a person.
I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired'? Well.. I'm fortunate
to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning
beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine. And I'm pretty damn good at it, too!!
Harold should be an inspiration to all of us.
