The title of Gulf Coast Homebrewer of the Year is given to the person who accumulates the most placement points from the Bluebonnet Brew-off, the Crescent City Competition and Crawfish Boil, the Sunshine Challenge and the Dixie Cup competitions.
The title of Gulf Coast Homebrew Team of the Year is given to the team who accumulates the most placement points from the Bluebonnet Brew-off, the Crescent City Competition and Crawfish Boil, the Sunshine Challenge, and the Dixie Cup competitions.

The 15th Annual Bluebonnet Brew-off 2001 will be held in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in March. It is sponsored by the North Texas Home Brewers Association of Dallas, the Knights of the Brown Bottle of Arlington, The Cowtown Cappers of Fort Worth and the Net Hoppers Mid Cities. This years host and organizer will be the Net Hoppers.
The 10th Annual Crescent City Competition and Crawfish Boil 2001 will be held in New Orleans in April and is presented by the Crescent City Homebrewers.
The 12th Annual Sunshine Challenge 2001 will be held in Orlando in May. The Sunshine Challenge is hosted by the Central Florida Homebrewers.
The 18th Annual Dixie Cup Homebrew Competition 2001 will be held in Houston in October. It is presented by the Foam Rangers Homebrew Club.
As an extra bonus if you receive a first place in the 15th Annual Bluebonnet Brew-off, 2001Sunshine Challenge 2001 or in the Dixie Cup 2001 you will qualify to enter The 4nd Annual Masters Championship of Amateur Brewing (MCAB), that will take place in the year 2002.
