Mary Izett organized a BJCP Continuing Education class in her back yard on the topic of smoked beers. Besides tasting and judging
a slew of commercial beer, we smoked our own malt and snacked on a bunch of smoked and non-smoked treats.

The fifth annual Homebrew Alley competition took place on January 30th, 2011. 460 beers were judged by 35 BJCP trained
judges over in three sessions over the course of two days.

On December 21st, 2010 the Guild held it's annual holiday party at Jimmy's No. 43. In keeping with tradition, the event was
was once again a pot luck. Besides homebrew, members contributed an abundant variety of culinary treats.

Jeff Katrencik's Epic Ride

Club member Jeff Katrencik set off on July 24th 2010 for his
mammoth journey from New York City to Cancún, Mexico. He will travel through Canada, the United States and Mexico on his
way to the COP16 UN Climate Change Summit this November.

NYCHG Hits the 2010 NHC

On June 16th, 2010 six Guild members and three Westchester Homebrewer's Guild member's travelled to Bloomfield, MN
to participate in the National Homebrewer's Conference. Besides attending various seminars and drinking lot's of great beer,
the two clubs were able to get kegs of beer out west in order to participate in Club Night and staff the Hospitality suite.
