The Yeast Culture Kit Company was founded in 1991 to provide a source of quality yeast cultures, culturing equipment, and culturing advice to homebrewers. It is owned by Dan McConnell, a doctor of medicinal chemistry. Dan is recognized by the homebrewing community for his sharing of expert advice in yeast management for home- and micro-brewing.

Malt extract and special nutrients to produce 500 mL of starter culture. Add water and sterilize to make 500 mL of highly enriched growth media. This is sufficient to pitch into 5 gallons of wort resulting in reduced lag, faster starts and better, cleaner beer.
