[Cheese] Cheese wax

Well, my muenster is ripened and ready to be waxed! It developed a
light orange rind, very similar to the cheese pictured here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muenster_cheese .

I am thinking of melting the wax in my crock pot. However, I don't
want to ruin it. Will melted wax fuse to my pot, or will it peel off?
Alternately, has anyone had any success microwaving it?
